Addressing global health challenges

Addressing global health challenges

Our focus remains firmly on addressing infectious diseases of poverty, and the TDR Strategy 2024-2029 is grounded in country-led priorities. However, we recognize that this cannot be done effectively without taking into consideration the changing global context in which we work. By supporting research and strengthening research capacity, we aim to contribute to building country resilience to four major global health challenges: control and elimination of diseases of poverty, climate’s impact on health, epidemics and outbreaks, and resistance to treatment and control agents.
